Winds gustingas high as 60 mph.* WHERE...West Slopes North Cascades and Passes, West Slopes NorthCentral Cascades and Passes, and West Slopes South CentralCascades and Passes.* WHEN...From 4 PM Tuesday to 10 AM PST Wednesday.* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Strongwinds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong east winds and slightly warmertemperatures will cause snow levels to be closer to 3000 feetthrough the Cascade Passes. The greatest reductions in visibilitywill likely occur near and east of the Cascade Crest.Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,have a winter survival kit with you.
