Flood Watch issued July 1 at 2:42PM EDT until July 1 at 9:00PM EDT by NWS Charleston SC* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia, including the followingareas, Coastal Bryan, Coastal Chatham, Coastal Liberty, CoastalMcIntosh, Effingham, Inland Bryan, Inland Chatham, Inland Liberty,Inland McIntosh and Long and southeast South Carolina, includingthe following areas, Beaufort, Charleston, Coastal Colleton,Coastal Jasper, Dorchester, Hampton, Inland Berkeley, InlandColleton, Inland Jasper and Tidal Berkeley.* WHEN...Until 9 PM EDT this evening.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drainsand ditches may become clogged with debris.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Widespread showers and thunderstorms with torrential rainfallwill impact much of Southeast South Carolina and SoutheastGeorgia this afternoon and evening as a cold front dropssouth into the region. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches willbe possible with localized amounts in excess of 6 inches.
