Cold Weather Advisory issued January 22 at 9:58PM EST until January 23 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Charleston SC* WHAT...Very cold wind chills of 10 to 15 degrees above zerotonight and into Thursday morning.* WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina.* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Thursday.* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skinis exposed to these temperatures. Wind chill values can lead tohypothermia with prolonged exposure.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This will be an unusually long period ofbitterly cold weather. Be sure to take protective actions toprepare both your home and business as well as yourself for thisperiod of very cold weather.Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, ahat, and gloves.Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensureportable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grillsinside.
