Flooding beginsalong the Neuse Riverwalk. Water nears the base of the holdingtank at the water treatment plant.At 18.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. The Smithfield town parkand the Neuse Riverwalk at the US70 bridge are flooded.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 3:15 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 14.9 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stagelate tonight and continue rising to a crest of 16.5 feetSaturday morning.- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of15.0 feet on 10/13/2018.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
