Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 16 at 4:05PM EST until November 17 at 11:00AM EST by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC* WHAT...Up to two feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Ocracoke Island and Hatteras Island.* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 11 AM EST Sunday.* IMPACTS...Up to 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level ispossible in some areas near shorelines and tidal waterwaysresulting in an elevated threat of property damage. Flooding oflots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closuresexpected.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
