High Wind Warning issued February 17 at 3:41AM EST until February 17 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Albany NY* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.* WHERE...Portions of western Massachusetts, east central andeastern New York, and southern Vermont.* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,especially for high profile vehicles.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong winds along with the weight of snowand ice on trees will lead to an increased risk of downed treesand power lines, resulting in power outages.Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, andavoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use cautionif you must drive.
