Additional snow accumulations 2 to3 feet in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as45 mph today will produce considerable blowing and drifting snowand near whiteout conditions at times.* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region. The greatest snowaccumulations will be across central and southern JeffersonCounty, western and northern Lewis County, and far northern OswegoCounty.* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Friday.* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult with deep snow cover onroads and very poor visibility. Areas of blowing snow willsignificantly reduce visibility, with near whiteout conditions attimes. The hazardous conditions will impact the evening commutetoday and the morning commute on Friday.Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands.
