Additional snowaccumulations 10 to 18 inches in the most persistent lake snows.Winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph today, producing areas ofblowing snow.* WHERE...Orleans and Monroe Counties, mainly across northernportions of the counties near the Lake Ontario shoreline.* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Wednesday.* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult in lake effect snow and inareas of blowing snow this afternoon and evening.Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages mayresult.Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a highprofile vehicle. Areas of blowing snow will cause poor travelconditions, especially near open fields.
