Additional snowaccumulations 10 to 18 inches in the most persistent lake snows.Winds gusting as high as 45 mph this evening, producing areas ofblowing snow.* WHERE...Orleans and Monroe Counties, mainly across northernportions of the counties near the Lake Ontario shoreline.* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Wednesday.* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult in lake effect snow and inareas of blowing snow this evening.Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages mayresult.Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a highprofile vehicle. Areas of blowing snow will cause poor travelconditions, especially near open fields.
