Winter Storm Watch issued November 26 at 9:03PM EST until December 2 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Buffalo NY* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow possible.* WHERE...Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern ErieCounties.* WHEN...From Friday morning through Monday morning.* IMPACTS...The potential exists for a significant long durationlake effect snow event. There is considerable uncertainty in exactband placement and amounts, but multiple periods of heavy snow arepossible. Travel could be very difficult to impossible with verypoor visibility and deep snow cover on roads. Some major roadwayscould temporarily close. The hazardous conditions could impact theFriday morning and evening commutes.Narrow bands of heavy snow could bring rapidly changing roadconditions and visibilities. Localized travel problems will bepossible.During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locallyheavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions justa few miles away. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,visibility, and road conditions.
