The hazardous conditions will certainly impact theFriday evening commute.During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locallyheavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions justa few miles away. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,visibility, and road conditions.Consider delaying travel. If you must travel, drive with extremecaution. Leave plenty of room between you and the motorist ahead ofyou, and allow extra time to reach your destination. Avoid suddenbraking or acceleration, and be especially cautious on hills or whenmaking turns.
