Winds gusting ashigh as 45 mph. For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, heavy lakeeffect snow expected. Total snow accumulations 10 to 20 inches inthe most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 50 mphcreating blowing and drifting snow with near whiteout conditionsat times.* WHERE...Wayne and Northern Cayuga Counties.* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 1 AM EST Monday. Forthe Lake Effect Snow Warning, from 1 AM Monday to 6 AM ESTWednesday.* IMPACTS...For the Winter Weather Advisory, power outages and treedamage are possible due to the ice and strong winds. Travel couldbe difficult with slick roadways, particularly bridges andoverpasses. For the lake effect snow warning, visibilities willoccasionally drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow.Roads will likely become slick and hazardous.Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. Highest gustswill be along the Lake Ontario shoreline and across higherelevations.* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 6 PM EST Monday.* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Treelimbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.The gusty winds will also produce areas of blowing snow at somelocations.Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a highprofile vehicle.
