Additional snow accumulations 5 to 10inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as40 mph will produce considerable blowing and drifting snow andnear whiteout conditions at times.* WHERE...Northern Erie and Genesee Counties. The heaviest snowfallwill be just south of Buffalo and across far southern GeneseeCounty.* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Friday.* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult with deep snow cover onroads and very poor visibility. Areas of blowing snow willsignificantly reduce visibility, with near whiteout conditions attimes. The hazardous conditions will impact the evening commutetoday.Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands.
