Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.* WHERE...Southeastern St. Lawrence, Southern Franklin, andSouthwestern St. Lawrence Counties.* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Friday.* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, willlikely become slick and hazardous. Areas of blowing snow expectedin parts of northern New York. Visibilities may drop below 1/4mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be verydifficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions will impactparts of southern St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties for theThursday morning and evening commutes.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The combination of brief gusty winds and verylow visibilities may result in periods of near whiteoutconditions. The greatest chances will be in the vicinity of Route3 between Tupper Lake and Harrisville, New York. Localizedaccumulations may exceed 20 inches.If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water inyour vehicle in case of an emergency.
