Air Quality Alert issued July 28 at 8:00AM MDT by NWS Great Falls MTAQAMTThe Montana Department of Environmental Quality has issued an airquality alert for Deer Lodge, Granite, Ravalli, and Silver Bowcounties in effect until 8AM 7/29/2024 elevated particulate levelsfrom wildfire smoke This alert will be updated again at 800am7/29/2024.An Air Quality Alert means that particulates have been trendingupwards and that an exceedence of the 24 hour National Ambient AirQuality Standard (NAAQS) has occurred or may occur in the nearfuture.As of 8AM, Particulate levels in Butte and Hamilton are Unhealthy forSensitive GroupsWhen air quality is Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups...
