For the High Rip Current Risk,dangerous rip currents.* WHERE...Coastal Bay County.* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 3 PM CDT thisafternoon. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until noon CDTtoday. For the High Rip Current Risk, through Saturday evening.* IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with onlyisolated road closures expected. Dangerous swimming andsurfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currentscan sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeperwater.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Inundation of 1 to 3 feet is expected onnormally dry ground near the shoreline.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.Stay out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax andfloat. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in adirection following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face theshore and call or wave for help.
