For the second Heat Advisory, from 11 AM CDT /noon EDT/to 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heatillnesses.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sunshine, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. Whenpossible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning orevening.Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments.
