Looking forward to Thursday and Thursday night,Hurricane Helene will bring an additional 5 to 10 inches ofrain, with local amounts to near 15 inches. Heaviest amountsare expected from the Forgotten Coast near Apalachicolanorthward. Hurricane Warning issued September 25 at 11:22PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL* LOCATIONS AFFECTED- Tallahassee- Woodville- Bradfordville* WIND- LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Equivalent Cat 3 Hurricane force wind- Peak Wind Forecast: 95-115 mph with gusts to 135 mph- Window for Tropical Storm force winds: early Thursdayafternoon until early Friday morning- Window for Hurricane force winds: Thursday evening untilearly Friday morning- THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY THAT INCLUDES TYPICAL FORECASTUNCERTAINTY IN TRACK, SIZE AND INTENSITY: Potential for windgreater than 110 mph- The wind threat has remained nearly steady from theprevious assessment.- PLAN: Plan for extreme wind of equivalent CAT 3 hurricaneforce or higher.- PREPARE: Remaining efforts to protect life and propertyshould be urgently completed.
