Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 14 at 1:30PM EST until November 16 at 10:00PM EST by NWS Melbourne FL* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor coastal flooding.For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.* WHERE...Coastal Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, Saint Lucie, andMartin Counties.* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 10 PM ESTSaturday. For the High Rip Current Risk, until 1 AM EST Friday.* IMPACTS...Some flooding of low-lying lots, parks and roadwaysmay occur near the shoreline. Only isolated road closures areexpected. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers awayfrom shore into deeper water.Onshore winds and above normal tides will combine to generateflooding of low areas along the shore. Do not drive aroundbarricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessaryactions to protect flood-prone property.Entering the surf is strongly discouraged. If caught in a ripcurrent, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. Ifable, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable toescape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
