Heaviest amounts are expected fromthe Forgotten Coast near Apalachicola northward. Flood Warning issued September 27 at 12:13AM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL...The National Weather Service in Tallahassee FL has issued a FloodWarning for the following rivers in Florida...Apalachicola River near Blountstown affecting Liberty, Franklin,Gulf and Calhoun Counties.* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Apalachicola River near Blountstown.* WHEN...From this morning until further notice.* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding will occur on manyroads including Byrd Parker Road, Warmouth Drive, Gaskin Park, theend of Lake Grove Road, Elm Street on Red Bull Island, and LowerLanding on Howards Creek in Gulf County. The 22.0 ft level atBlountstown may at times not be representative of river levels inthe these areas due to tidal effects, winds, or local rainfall andshould be used with caution. In Liberty County, a home on RiverRoad downstream of the Bristol Boat Ramp begins to flood on thelower level.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 11:15 PM EDT Thursday /10:15 PM CDT Thursday/ the stagewas 10.9 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stagelate this morning and continue rising to a crest of 20.9 feetjust after midnight tonight. It will then rise to 21.9 feetearly Tuesday afternoon. Hurricane Warning issued September 26 at 11:11PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL* LOCATIONS AFFECTED- Inland Franklin County* WIND- LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Equivalent Tropical Storm force wind- Peak Wind Forecast: 30-40 mph with gusts to 55 mph- THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY THAT INCLUDES TYPICAL FORECASTUNCERTAINTY IN TRACK, SIZE AND INTENSITY: Potential for wind 74to 110 mph- The wind threat has decreased from the previous assessment.- PLAN: Plan for life-threatening wind of equivalent CAT 1 or2 hurricane force.- PREPARE: Remaining efforts to protect life and propertyshould be urgently completed. Prepare for considerable winddamage.- ACT: Move to safe shelter before the wind becomes hazardous.- POTENTIAL IMPACTS: Extensive- Considerable roof damage to sturdy buildings, with somehaving window, door, and garage door failures leading tostructural damage.
