Looking forward to Thursday and Thursday night,Hurricane Helene will bring an additional 5 to 10 inches ofrain, with local amounts to near 15 inches. Heaviest amountsare expected from the Forgotten Coast near Apalachicolanorthward. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected tobegin shortly.HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.SOURCE...Radar.IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urbanareas, highways, streets and underpasses as well asother poor drainage and low-lying areas.* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Tallahassee, Carrabelle, Midway, Quincy, Eastpoint, Havana,Apalachicola, St George Island, Port St. Joe, Cairo, Whigham,Franklin, Gretna, Sopchoppy, Attapulgus, Climax, Jewel Fire Tower,East Camp, Poplar Camp and Smith Creek.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
