Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 15 at 12:45AM EST until November 16 at 10:00PM EST by NWS Melbourne FL* WHAT...For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.For the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor coastal flooding.* WHERE...Coastal Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, Saint Lucie,and Martin Counties.* WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, through late Saturdaynight. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 10 PM ESTSaturday.* IMPACTS...Some flooding of low-lying lots, parks and roadwaysmay occur near the shoreline. Water may reach the dune line orsea wall along vulnerable beaches. Rip currents can sweep eventhe best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.Onshore winds and above normal tides will combine to generateflooding of low areas along the shore. Do not drive aroundbarricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessaryactions to protect flood-prone property.Entering the surf is strongly discouraged. If caught in a ripcurrent, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. Ifable, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable toescape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
