High Wind Warning issued December 28 at 8:13PM PST until December 29 at 6:00AM PST by NWS Eureka CA* WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.* WHERE...Del Norte Coast.* WHEN...Until 6 AM PST Sunday.* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,especially for high profile vehicles. Wind gusts will beparticularly strong along windward ridges and exposed coastalheadlands. There is an increased risk of tree branches and otherdebris on roadways.People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown aroundor damaged by the wind.Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, andavoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use cautionif you must drive.
