Excessive Heat Warning issued June 29 at 7:29AM CDT until June 29 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Little Rock AR* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of atleast 110 expected.* WHERE...Portions of central, eastern, north central, southeast,southwest, and western Arkansas.* WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT this evening.* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly duringextreme heat and high humidity events.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Carinteriors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.
