High Surf Advisory issued November 13 at 3:25PM AKST until November 15 at 1:00AM AKST by NWS Anchorage AKThe National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a High SurfAdvisory, which is in effect from 1 PM Thursday to 1 AM AKSTFriday.* LOCATION...Togiak Bay coastline.* WAVES AND SURF...Water levels as high as 3 to 6 feet above thenormal highest tideline are possible due to southerly windsgusting as high as 45 mph.* TIMING...From 2 PM Thursday through 1 AM Friday.* IMPACTS...High surf and localized beach erosion are expectedalong the immediate shoreline. If water levels rise as high as6 feet, there is a small chance for localized flooding alongNasaurluq Creek in Togiak.A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches inthe advisory area, producing rip currents and localized beacherosion.
