Additional snow and sleet accumulations up to 4inches and ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch.* WHERE...All of northern Alabama and southern middle Tennessee.* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Saturday.* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, havebecome slick and extremely hazardous. Travel is stronglydiscouraged! The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs maydown power lines and could cause sporadic power outages.Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutelynecessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winterstorm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would helpyou survive in case you become stranded.If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water inyour vehicle in case of an emergency.
