Heavy Rain Risk AreaThe strong monsoon trough lies across the upper North and the upper Northeast into the low-pressure cell over the upper South China Sea of Thailand while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South, the Gulf, the Central and the East. Scattered heavy rains are likely in the country while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North, the East and the South(west coast) regions. The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershower. In the lower Andaman Sea, the waves have about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along waterways and lowlands. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore.
