However, the Southwest Monsoon that it enhances may still bring moderate to heavy rains over the western portion of Luzon over the next three days. For more information, refer to Weather Advisory No. 20 issued at 11:00 PM today.HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERSBUTCHOY and the Southwest Monsoon will bring moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 3.5 m) over the coastal waters along the northern and western seaboards of Luzon. Mariners of motor bancas and similarly-sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels.TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOKBUTCHOY is forecast to move generally west northwestward until tomorrow (20 July) before turning more north northwestward beginning on Sunday (21 July). On the track forecast, this tropical depression may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility within the next 12 hours. Furthermore, a landfall scenario over Hainan, China is likely by late Sunday or early Monday (22 July).BUTCHOY will likely have limited intensification within the next two days, but is forecast to reach tropical storm category by tomorrow. Rapid weakening is possible after its landfall over Hainan, China on Monday.
