20.11.2024 in the forenoon sleet snow, snow is still continuing in the northern part of Latvia. In the morning, a layer of snow had formed in many places, up to 5-6 cm deep in some places. Driving conditions are difficult in some places - visibility will sometimes decrease to 500-1000 m during precipitation, in some places roads will be slippery. During the day snow, sleet will gradually change to rain, thus the snow cover will melt. BE AWARE of heavy snowfall!Snowfall can hinder the movement of vehicles on the roads, as well as pedestrian movement.Visibility will be reduced during snowfall and blizzard conditions.Snowfall and wet snow deposits in certain areas can cause tree branches to break and damage power lines.Outdoor activities may be affected in certain areas.Be careful when walking, riding a bike or car.
