On Sunday active low from south-west will cross territory of Latvia, 28.07.2024 from midday in the country continous and heavy rain is expected, but in the central regions of Latvia very heavy rain is expected, locally also thunderstorm. Rain will continue until Monday. Following trajectory of the low and newest forecast change of warning territory or degree is possible! River floodplains and low-lying areas are expected to flood, in some places also causing property and infrastructure flooding, road washouts and infrastructure damage. Flooded areas are likely to require evacuation.
