snow squall warning in effectHazardous lake effect snow squalls to impact the region through Sunday morning.Hazards:Additional snowfall accumulations of 20 to 40 cm by Sunday afternoon.Peak snowfall rates of 5 to 10 cm per hour.Very poor to zero visibility at times in heavy snow and local blowing snow.Power outages possible due to the heavy wet nature of the snow.Timing:Continuing through Sunday morning.Discussion:Intense snow squalls off Georgian Bay and Lake Huron will continue to affect the area tonight and Sunday morning. These snow squalls will shift from time to time, but will be capable of intense snowfall rates. Travel is expected to be difficult to nearly impossible at times under these snow squalls. As is common with snow squalls, snowfall amounts will be highly variable.###Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common.
