While coastal regions including Prince Rupert will likely only see some light rain today, snow is falling along Highway 16 east of Rainbow Summit. As the low pressure system moves inland today, heavy snow may transition to freezing rain along Highway 16.Another frontal system arrives late this afternoon, providing further warming, which will result in the change from freezing rain to rain. This frontal system will bring heavy rain and strong winds to coastal areas, including Prince Rupert tonight and Sunday.###Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
