HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is possible over northeastern districts of Tasmania this morning. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 20 to 40 mm are likely, with isolated totals up to 80mm possible with thunderstorms. DAMAGING NORTH TO NORTHWESTERLY WINDS, averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around 100 km/h are likely about elevated terrain from Sunday morning, but are also possible at lower elevations with thunderstorms. The HEAVY RAINFALL and DAMAGING WIND risks are expected to ease during Sunday afternoon once the front has crossed the state. Locations which may be affected include Scottsdale, Whitemark and Bridport. Sheep graziers are warned that rain, showers and westerly winds are expected during Sunday and Monday. Areas likely to be affected include the Furneaux Islands forecast district and parts of the North East and South East forecast districts.
