Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and showers and southeasterly winds are expected during Friday and Saturday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the Northern Rivers, Mid North Coast, Northern Tablelands, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, North West Slopes & Plains, South West Slopes and Snowy Mountains forecast districts. VERY HEAVY SURF which may lead to localised damage and coastal erosion is possible along coastal parts of NSW coast between Point Danger and Wooli during Friday and Saturday, particularly about south-facing coasts and beaches. Conditions are forecast to ease overnight Saturday night, depending on the strength and movement of the low pressure system. A Hazardous Surf Warning is also current for the NSW coast. Beach conditions in these areas could be dangerous and people should stay well away from the surf and surf exposed areas. Locations which may be affected include Tweed Heads, Byron Bay, Ballina, Evans Head, Yamba and Brooms Head, particularly about south-facing coasts and beaches.Coastal Hazard Warningfor DAMAGING SURFIssued at 4:49 am Friday, 27 September 2024.The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Stay vigilant and monitor conditions.
